FreeCAD 8.0 is a simple 3D CAD application that supports motion simulation, providing engineers with a great way to learn the basics of 3D CAD. The tool allows users to get to grips with concepts like motion, physics, geometry, kinematics, linkages, mechanisms and many more. FreeCAD 8.0 lets users create and alter assemblies in 3D, and even if you arent an engineer, it can still be fun to play around with. Unfortunately, FreeCAD 8.0 does have some known bug issues and suffers from random crashes and the occasional graphical glitch. Users willing to forgive these shortcomings however will discover a very useful 3D CAD and motion simulating application.
