If you are already using a mass-mailing system such as 1st Mail Sender but need to host your mass mailers on more then one server, then 1st SMTP Server will work in conjunction with it for effective distribution. The set-up process was very complex with dozens of options that needed the correct options selected, or else 1st SMTP Server simply would not work. I suspect a network admin would handle this better then I did, but for a layman it is too difficult to setup.
