Can you imagine having an axe in Mario Bros? Or a Boomerang? Or a gun? Imagine no more as Super Mario XP throws all these into the mix and asks you, the gamer to embrace them. I'm not so impressed. Super Mario XP has new levels, different backgrounds and updates to the classic fireball power-up. Gameplay does not feel as tight as the original though, this is most likely due to the weapon balancing from all the powerups Mario has to juggle now. Still, if you ever wanted to bomb Koopa off that little chain bridge of his, your wish can now become a reality.
